Capall RC Visit to Thompsons Feeding Innovation Mill

On Thursday 26 January 2017 our Club Members took the rare opportunity to leave the horses at home and take a tour round the Thompsons Feeding Innovation Mill.  A massive thank you to Raymond Bready, Alli Matthews and Declan Cullen for the invite and the vast amount of knowledge we received.   It was a fantastic opportunity to see behind the scenes and was thoroughly enjoyed by all!

We had a fantastic night at our first Interclub dressage competition. Many thanks to Gransha RC for coming and taking part, great fun was had by all. Massive thanks to Judge Vanda Robinson for all your positive feedback and to scribe Jim. Thanks to all who organised the night and to all helpers who made the night run so smoothly, without you it just would not be possible to run such nights. NIRC Training Show - 18 February 2017

The NI Riding Clubs’ Show Jumping Championships are being held this year on Sunday 5th March at Portmore Equestrian Centre, Aghalee. Both the team competitions and the individual competitions will be held that day.

We do not have the entry forms as yet but, if you are interested in going, keep the date in your diary.

In preparation, NI Liaison Committee has organised a Show Jumping Training Show at Portmore EC on Saturday 18th February 9.30am – 4.00pm. Entries are to be pre-paid as Liaison need to know if it is feasible to run the day. Once that is confirmed, entries will also be taken on the day.

If you are intending to do the SJ Championships this is a great opportunity to have a go around Portmore in advance.

Details as follows: -
Classes 60cm – 1.10m for both junior and senior members
Horses and ponies may compete in up to three classes
As this is a training show you will be allowed to jump both rounds regardless of faults with the exception of a fall of rider or horse.
Help will be available for riders having problems
All hats must be tagged with an orange tag – there will be tagging on the day
Entry fee £10 per class – pre paid entries but entries will also be taken on the day
Please contact Emily at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 07761 155842 if you wish to go to the Training Show. Entries need to be with Liaison by Saturday 11th February so please let Emily know as soon as possible to give her time to get the entries sent.
