Interclub Dressage - Capall RC V Gransha RC

We have been liaising with Stephen Murphy, Chairperson of Gransha Riding Club, to arrange a couple of Interclub competitions to get a bit of mingling and socialising going on between our 2 clubs and also to have a bit of fun.

There will be 2 nights to look forward to - a Dressage night, which will be organised by Capall, and a Show Jumping night, to be organised by Gransha.

The Dressage night is first on the agenda and is planned for Thursday 23rd February. It will be held at our usual Thursday night haunt at Cavallo.

Info as follows:-

  • 2 teams of 5 from each club – one team will perform a Prelim test whilst the other team a Novice test
  • All 5 scores will count
  • Tests: - Prelim 2 2016 & Novice 28 (2008)
  • Entry fee £10 per person

If you are interested in being on a team, please let Anne Duignan know ASAP (by the latest Thursday 16th February) by phone, text or Capall Email – 07720 717645 / This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. - stating which team you would like to be considered for – i.e. Prelim Team or Novice Team. A practice night will be arranged beforehand.

As well as competitors, we will need some help on the night such as - scribing, adding up the Dressage sheets, working out the results, making teas & coffees and any other little chores needing done to ensure the night runs smoothly! So, if you aren’t wishing to take part, please do come and help and, at the same time, do a spot of socialising.

This is a great opportunity for a bit of fun with another club and getting to know others outside of our own Club.

NIRC Autumn Championships 2016

On Sunday 16 October Club members, Julie, Laura B, Leanne, Alison, Louise and Nanette braved the elements to compete at the NIRC Autumn Championships at Laurelview Equestrian Centre.  Although it wasn’t a successful day as in previous years in terms of placings, everyone did extremely well and had a good day’s craic regardless of the weather and placings.  A Special mention to Louise who did get placed in two very competitive classes - 4th in the Novice class and 3rd in the Elementary class.

Also a BIG thanks to our helpers on the day Stephanie and Paul and supporters Frankie, Anne, Robin and Leonard.
